Getting started
- Create an account with your mobile number (OTP). Complete your profile when asked.
- Add a newspaper title and wait for approval (or use an already approved title).
- Create a new issue / project, open the editor, lay out pages, then export PDF when you are ready to print.
Newspaper titles
- Go to My Titles → create a title with name, language, and details.
- New titles stay pending until an admin approves them. You can only start issues on approved titles.
- Use Edit to change the name or upload a new logo. The current logo stays live; admin sees old and new, then approves or rejects with a reason you can read on My Titles.
- One title can have many issues (daily / weekly editions).
Issues & projects
- Create project — pick title, issue name, page count, and page size (e.g. 33×52 cm).
- Optional edition line (city · day · date · price) appears under the masthead on page 1. You can edit it later in the editor toolbar.
- Open any project from My Projects to continue layout.
Page editor
- Switch pages from the page strip. Changes auto-save; watch the status under the issue name.
- Click text boxes to edit Marathi / Hindi / English copy. Use undo / redo in the toolbar.
- Edition line in the toolbar updates the masthead meta line and saves with the project.
- Import news paste (WhatsApp / email text) from the news panel when available — then place stories into boxes.
Templates & IDML
- Browse Templates and apply a layout to the current page.
- Admins can upload InDesign IDML packages; frames and text map into the browser canvas so you start closer to your print shop style.
- After applying a template, check fonts and reflow before locking the page for print.
PDF & payment
- Click Export PDF in the editor to open a watermarked preview. Free download includes only the front and last pages. All pages requires payment (₹250 for exactly 4 pages, otherwise ₹63 × page count).
- After payment verifies, WebDTP builds the full PDF, downloads it, and saves it on the project so you can re-download from My Projects while the layout is unchanged.
- If you edit the issue after a paid export, full PDF unlock resets — you must pay again for the updated content. Unchanged issues stay re-downloadable.
- Refunds follow our Refund Policy.
Account & login
- Login with mobile + OTP (demo OTP is often shown in the server console during testing).
- Update profile and preferences under Settings.
- If you stay signed out after a restart in older builds, hard-refresh and sign in again — sessions are stored with your account data.
